Lisa Kleypas Giveaway & Review

I'm very excited to be part of the Corsets, Kisses & Kleypas Blog Hop today!

Lisa Kleypas' books are a staple in my literary diet. Whenever I'm sick or it's too nasty to go outside or I just want a good love story, I always pick up a Kleypas book. It's one of the few shelves on my bookcase with absolutely no dust.

Today I'm giving away a pair of Kleypas books - both Christmas themed. I know Christmas is long past, but who cares? It's magical.

Quick disclaimer and a few rules, mmkay? This is me. All me. Lisa Kleypas is not in any way affiliated with this giveaway. I will be picking one random commenter at the end of the blog hop. All you have to do is share your favorite author or book and why it's your favorite. Was it your first? The one that always makes you laugh? Makes you cry? Winner will be chosen on February 29th, 2012 and announced on March 1st. Giveaway is US only.

So what are you going to win? Well...

A Wallflower Christmas and Christmas Eve at Friday Harbor. Both books are hardcover and absolutely wonderful.

A Wallflower Christmas is one of my favorite Kleypas books. It has a little to do with the magic of Christmas, but a lot of it has to do with the characters. The book is shorter than most of her novels, but what she does with the space is amazing. You care about the characters. You want them to fall in love and to make it work. I suppose that's true of nearly all of her books, which is why I love them. It was nice to see the cast of the other Wallflowers books again. My least favorite character didn't have a lot of page time so that helped some.

Want to follow along with the hop for more reviews & great giveaways:

  1. I've read every Wallflower except this one so I'm thrilled to see this prize.

My favorite book of all time would be Valley of the Horses by Jean Auel. I love it because it has a wonderful love story and a really strong woman as the main character. I've read it 2 or 3 times and I fall in love with Ayla and Jondalar just a little bit more every time.

  11. My favorite author is Jodie Picoult. I have read everything by her. She makes you think about different social issues without shoving a ton of facts down your throat. She also always has a twist you would never suspect. My favorite book by her is My Sister's Keeper which was way better than the movie.
